One fact first: smart people never stop learning and always invest in their education. Whether reading a business book or attending a marketing training, they always learn new strategies and ideas to help get their business to the next level.
But the secret of the MEGA WINNERS is TAKING ACTION!
Here is how to maximize your learning and get out of info-overwhelm right away after attending an info-packed event:
- Create an "aha!" sheet. If you kept notes during the event (conference, training, boot camp) they will come in really handy. If not -- just list all the ideas floating in your head right after the event. Don't worry about writing it in one specific way. The goal is to get them out of your head and on paper.
Go ahead and do it as quickly as you can. If possible - do it right now! Yes, it takes some time - but it will be time well invested and it will pay huge dividends.
- Your next step is to immediately select 3 best ideas you want to take action on fast. Prioritize them and choose ONE IDEA to work on NOW.
I know you will be torn between many great ideas, but focusing on just one of them for now will benefit you more. Trust me on this for now.
A tip you may find helpful here is to look at what kind of payoff each idea can generate comparing to how much time, money, and effort you'll need to put into making that idea a reality.
- Now that you have ONE IDEA selected as your top priority, develop a detailed action plan to achieve it.
List all the steps - no matter how small - required to make this idea a reality. And take action! Implement as much as you can to complete this idea or at least significantly move it forward in the next 24 to 72 hours!
If you can do that, I promise you will begin to see 'magic' happen in your business. The key is to take MASSIVE ACTION!
- Develop a list of action steps for all of your "AHA" ideas you want to pursue.
- The key to your success with this is to stick to just ONE IDEA AT A TIME! You are not allowed to work on the next idea until the first one is completed and automated or outsourced.
There you have it - my 5-step formula to get out of "after seminar info-overwhelm." Go ahead and take action now.
Do it even if you don't believe it will work at first, or even if you're a bit tired and would rather just watch TV or chat with a friend.
Investing a few minutes of your time to map out your own IMPLEMENTATION PLAN will put you in the top 2 percent of people who attend training events and achieve their goals.
